Central Kansas Credit Union

CKCU was chartered in December of 1936 to serve the members of Ark Valley Dairy Association and Reno Consumers Coop. It was founded as a way for the working man to have savings and borrow money at low interest. With a meager sum of $167.05 the Reno Coop Federal Credit Union was formed. In 1959, after the merger of Ark Valley Creamery and Tip-Top Dairy, a decision was made to change from a federally chartered institution to a state charter. With it came the potential for a much larger field of membership from the general public and thus, Central Kansas Credit Union was born.
